Cookies Policy

Last Updated March 09, 2026

This Cookies Policy explains what cookies and similar local-storage technologies are, how BuildRunKit uses them, and what choices you have. By using our website and platform, you agree to the use of these technologies as described below.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on your device by a website. BuildRunKit primarily uses browser localStorage — a built-in storage mechanism — rather than traditional HTTP cookies. Both serve the same purpose: remembering your settings and keeping you securely logged in across page loads.

Essential Cookies
These entries are required for the platform to function. Without them, features such as sign-in and access to protected pages will not work.
Name / KeyPurposeStorageDuration
sb-*-auth-tokenStores your Supabase authentication session (JWT access and refresh tokens) to keep you logged in.localStorageUntil sign-out or token expiry
sb-*-auth-token-code-verifierTemporary PKCE code verifier used during OAuth sign-in flows (Google / GitHub). Deleted automatically after authentication completes.localStorageTemporary (deleted after OAuth callback)
Functional & Preference Cookies
These entries remember your personal preferences so you do not have to reconfigure them on every visit.
Name / KeyPurposeStorageDuration
brk_theme_preferenceSaves your preferred color theme (light, dark, or auto) so it is applied automatically on your next visit.localStoragePersistent (until manually cleared)
i18nextLngRemembers your selected interface language (English or Spanish).localStoragePersistent (until manually cleared)
Third-Party Cookies

When you sign in with Google or GitHub, those providers set their own cookies and local storage entries during the OAuth flow. BuildRunKit does not control these technologies. Please review Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com) and GitHub's Privacy Statement (docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies) for details.

No Analytics or Advertising Cookies

BuildRunKit does not currently use any advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. We do not sell your data or share it with ad networks.

Your Cookie Choices

Because the cookies we set are either essential for authentication or functional for your preferences, disabling them will affect your ability to use the platform. You can manage them in two ways:

  • Browser settings — Most browsers let you view, block, or delete localStorage data via DevTools (Application → Local Storage) or the browser's privacy / settings panel.
  • Sign out — Signing out of BuildRunKit removes all Supabase auth tokens from your browser storage.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
